MOS training is needed for people who want to make the very most out of desktop applications that they use on a daily basis. Every company has that one person that can solve almost any Microsoft software problem that is experienced by people while on the job. If someone can not figure out how to make Microsoft Word perform this function or that one, just ask so and so because they always know what the answer is.
Sometimes these people have become so good with using the programs because they have years and years worth of experience and have picked up many tricks and tips along the way. Obviously, the longer someone uses a program, the more they know about it and the more they should be able to do with it. Just think what work would be like if you were the one was known as the resident expert in the Microsoft desktop programs.
Programs to Learn with MOS Training
MOS training prepares an individual to be recognized by the Microsoft Corporation as a Microsoft Office Specialist. Becoming a Specialist requires an individual to pass tests that will reveal their level of knowledge in each of the programs that Microsoft has developed for use in offices. The programs include Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint with a separate exam taking place for each program.
People can become a Specialist in the Office 2000, XP or Office 2003 versions of software, depending on the desires of the individual. One of the smartest things a person can do before taking the exams is to spend some time in computer training that focuses on each program. There are many IT training companies that have materials that will prepare people for these tests without having to spend years working with the programs.
